Intense notes of dark chocolate are complemented by hints of cinnamon in this full-bodied dark roast. This robusta bean coffee has twice the caffeine content of specialty arabica coffee beans. Many people want some extra time in their day with a little extra energy. Nature decreed vast differences between Arabica coffee trees and the Robusta coffee species. One of those differences is in caffeine content. Without in any way adulterating one of nature's wonders, we offer, in this package, a coffee that's naturally high in caffeine. At 3% caffeine, (plus or minus .5%), this has 2 to 2.5 times the power of regular gourmet quality coffees. We use the highest grade of Robusta—perhaps the world's finest. The beans are roasted to a dark French Roast to bring out their complexity. The brew is earthy and strong—flavorful, but not sweet or fruity. This double caffeinated coffee is excellent with highly seasoned foods, and as a breakfast blastoff! One of our best selling coffees since the day it was introduced in 1987.
